Biography

Dr. Michael Borich is an Associate Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Emory University, with adjunct appointments in Biomedical Engineering at Georgia Tech and in Emory's Neuroscience Graduate Program. His research examines the brain's capacity for change in response to rehabilitation after injury and disease. He uses neuroimaging and neurostimulation techniques to study the neural substrates of motor learning and experience-dependent plasticity in healthy individuals and after stroke, with the goal of designing more effective rehabilitation strategies for restoring function following neurologic injury.
