Biography

Dr. Nilanjan Banerjee is a Professor of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at UMBC, where he directs the Mobile, Pervasive, and Sensor System Lab. He received his B.Tech. (Hons) in Computer Science from IIT, and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts. His research spans embedded and distributed systems for mobile, pervasive, and sustainability-based computing, including renewable energy systems, health diagnostics, mobile networking, and experimental testbed design.
